Congratulations to our amazing 3rd Grade Teacher of the Month, Ms. Cherrymay!🎉 Her strong small-group instruction, purposeful anchor charts, and intentional learning supports make a BIG impact on student learning! 📚✨ Her classroom is a place where students are engaged, supported, and set up for success. Her ability to meet students where they are while challenging them to grow is truly inspiring. Her dedication, creativity, and positive classroom environment are wonderful examples of what excellent teaching looks like!
Ms. Karla is our Staff Member of the Month! In only her first year as our registrar, Karla performs her role with the confidence, knowledge, and professionalism of someone who has been doing this for years. She keeps student records accurate and organized, maintains strong communication with our families, and has earned perfect scores on her audits—a true reflection of her attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
Beyond her registrar responsibilities, Karla is incredibly reliable and always willing to step in and support the team wherever she is needed. She remains calm and collected, even during busy and challenging moments, and treats our students, families, and staff with genuine kindness. Ms. Karla truly represents our MASSA values, and her work makes our entire school better. Thank you, Ms. Karla, for your dedication, teamwork, and the care you bring to MASSA every day!

as well as a few policies we have in place.

Before Care Program (Enrolled scholars only)
🔹 Begins at 6:30 AM
🔹 Drop-off location: Northwest Gate
School Opens for All Students
🔹 7:15 AM – Drop off through the North Gate (Driveline)
🔹 7:30 AM – West Gate opens for students walking into campus
Breakfast Time in Cafeteria
🔹 7:15 AM – 7:45 AM
🔹 Students enter through the North Gate (Driveline)
Classroom Arrival Deadline
🔹 All students must be in class by 7:55 AM
🚫 Tardy Policy
Students arriving after 7:55 AM are considered tardy
🔸 They must be signed in at the Front Office by a parent or guardian
🔸 The North Gate will close at 7:55 AM

Birthday Celebration Policy 🎉
📢 Important Update for MASSA Families
As we prepare for a fantastic school year, we'd like to share an important update regarding food brought to school for birthdays, classroom celebrations, rewards, and other school-sponsored events.
Beginning this school year, Arizona's Healthy Schools Act no longer allows outside food or beverages to be shared during classroom celebrations or school events. This includes items such as cupcakes, cookies, pizza, homemade treats, and other food brought to share with classmates.
✅ What's not changing?
Scholars may still bring their own lunch and personal snacks from home for their own daily consumption.
🚫 Important Reminder:
To support this policy, the MASSA Front Office will not accept or deliver lunches, snacks, food deliveries, or any outside food items for students during the school day. Please make sure your scholar comes to school with their lunch and any personal snacks they will need for the day.
Please take a moment to review the attached letter for complete details, including alternative ways to celebrate special occasions at school.

Mientras nos preparamos para un excelente año escolar, queremos compartir una actualización importante sobre los alimentos que se pueden traer a la escuela para cumpleaños, celebraciones en el salón, recompensas y otros eventos escolares.
A partir de este año escolar, la Ley de Escuelas Saludables de Arizona ya no permite que se traigan alimentos o bebidas de fuera para compartir durante celebraciones en el salón de clases o eventos escolares. Esto incluye pastelitos, galletas, pizza, donas, comida casera y cualquier otro alimento destinado a compartirse con otros estudiantes.
✅ ¿Qué NO está cambiando?
Los estudiantes pueden seguir trayendo su propio almuerzo y refrigerios de casa para su consumo personal durante el día escolar.
🚫 Recordatorio Importante:
